Anywhere from 600 to 1,000 people are expected to visit North Bend on Tuesday, June 6, when the Bike Ride Across Nebraska makes an overnight stop in the Bend.

The BRAN Committee of the North Bend Chamber of Commerce has been arranging accommodations and entertainment for the riders and their supporters, and it needs help from the community.

Activities planned for the day include a beer garden with music from Dylan Bloom and other acts, air boat rides, bingo, food stands and more.

Volunteers are needed to work the beer garden, drive vans to various events around town and set up and tear down tents. To sign up to help, visit www.bran37northbend.com and click on the “volunteer sign up” tab. A schedule and other info can also be found on the website.

People can also like the “BRAN 37 - North Bend Host Community” Facebook page to get updates on the events. Questions can be directed to committee chair Katy Bode at Platte Valley Bank.
