Three Rivers Public Health Department reports that it is in the process of getting individuals vaccinated for COVID-19 using the phased approach that has been laid out by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

Currently it is working through Phase 1A, tier 2 and 3. Phase 1A, tier 2 includes the following categories: primary care nursing, primary care physicians and home health staff/hospice. Phase 1A tier 3 includes the following categories: pharmacy, oral surgeons, dentists, dental assistants and hygienists and school nurses. Please remember that the vaccine is not available to the general public yet and to be patient.

On Thursday, Governor Pete Rickets announced that Nebraska was moving from the “yellow” to “blue” phase of its coronavirus response plan and issued a new DHM. The percentage of hospital beds used by COVID-19 patients has fallen below 15%, prompting the change.

Changes include the maximum capacity for indoor gatherings going from 50% to 75%. Sitting in groups of eight or less at restaurants and bars becomes suggestion rather than law. See more details on the COVID-19 page of NorthBendEagle.com.
