The following statement was released by North Bend Central superintendent Dan Endorf, extending the previous two-week cancellation of school to indefinitely. It was relased as a phone message on the Tiger Talk calling system as well as posted on the school's website.

As you may have heard from area schools yesterday and today, Three Rivers Health Department notified ESU 2 schools of their recommendation to close school and continue e-learning throughout the school year; therefore, NBC will remain closed indefinitely with all activities suspended for the foreseeable future.

While this is more heartbreaking news for all of us associated with NBC, and another blow to the possibility of returning to a normal day of school during 2019-20 school year, I do feel fortunate that NBC has the technological resources and progressive teaching staff that allows us to continue educating our students in a truly effective manner.

While we will most likely need to get really creative when it comes to the sacred end-of-the-year activities we all cherish, it will also be vital to take into account the safety, health, and well-being of all of us during this trying time.
