Over one-third of Nebraskans age 16 and older have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with 36.3% of people statewide now vaccinated.

In the Three Rivers Public Health Department, which covers Dodge, Saunders and Washington counties, 34.2% of people over the age of 15 have been vaccinated. In those three counties, 67.8% of people age 65 and older have been fully vaccinated, with 78.1% of that age group having received at least one dose of the vaccine.

COVID-19 related hospitalizations have been relatively steady in the last two weeks, with 168 active hospitalizations as of Monday. The majority of those, 116, are in the six counties surrounding Omaha, including Dodge and Saunders counties.

Anyone 16 or older can sign up to get the COVID-19 vaccine at vaccinate.ne.gov or call 3RPHD 402-727-5396 or Medicine Man at 402-652-3217.

A new Directed Health Measure went into effect in Nebraska on April 15. The text of the DHM can be read on the COVID-19 page of NorthBendEagle.com.
