The city of North Bend put a bow on the repairs from the March 2019 flood at its Dec. 7 city council meeting.

The last major repair project was the repaving of Locust Street along the North Bend City Park where the temporary dump sat in the aftermath of the flood.

Meyers Construction presented a final change order to the city, decreasing the price tag by just over $6,000. The council approved the fifth and final payment of $90,211.15 to Meyers.

The council also accepted Nov. 24 as the substantial completion date for Phase 2 of the 2020 North Bend Flood Street Repair.

Earlier work completed included repairs and patching to several streets around town, repairs to manholes, new asphalt on Walnut Street and new pavement on Cottonwood Street.

Mayor Rod Scott also made departmental appointments for 2022 at the meeting, keeping the department heads the same as the current year. They are:

Maintenance supervisor: Larry Hillard

City clerk, treasurer, zoning administrator and flood plain administrator: Theresa Busse.

Health and safety: Bart Bosco.

Pool and park: Ken Streff.

Auditorium: Alex Legge.

Water and sewer: Dan Minarick.

Street superintendent: Julie Odgen of JEO Consulting.
