Members of the engineering firm JEO hosted an open house at the North Bend City Auditorium Thursday [April 14. 2022] seeking input from local landowners on flood control in the Rawhide Watershed, which essentially runs from the Platte River to the north bluff between Schuyler and Fremont. The flood risk reduction plan is a project of Dodge County Joint Water Management Advisory Board that was formed following the 2019 flood.

JEO was seeking stories of flood experiences, information or other input on possible flood management solutions.

The 2-hour open house was part of a study that should be complete next spring when the Natural Resources District and Dodge County will decide which projects to undertake.
