Krugers' gift stregthens community foundation
NORTH BEND – The North Bend Area Community Foundation is honored to announce a generous $1.1 million endowment gift from the estate of James and Sandra Kruger. This remarkable gift made possible by their family’s decision to conclude the James and Sandra Kruger Foundation will support the NBACF’s mission of building a stronger community by inspiring charitable giving and disbursing grants for generations to come.
“Jim and Sandra Kruger cared deeply about this community,” NBACF treasurer Deanna Wolf said. She cited previous Kruger gifts to St. Charles Church, to the North Bend Public Library building and the James and Sandra Kruger Community Room, buying the first pedestal at the Veterans Memorial Park and beautifully restoring the historic North Bend Carnegie Library. Their legacy will live on through support of current and future needs and opportunities in the North Bend Area. “The North Bend Area Community Foundation expresses its deepest gratitude for this transformative act of generosity and stewardship,” Wolf said. “This endowment allows us to dream bigger, serve more, and expand our impact.” Celebrating steady growth for 25 years, the North Bend Area Community Foundation endowment fund totals $550,000 with 81 community projects benefiting from $400,000 awarded in grants. The James and Sandra Kruger endowment fund adds $1.1 million, making a lasting impact on needs and projects addressing current and future goals and possibilities. The NBACF is under the umbrella of the Fremont Area Community Foundation, who will be holding the Kruger Fund. Read the full story in the print or e-edition. <<Back to the front page |
