Kale Wietfled was a scoring machine during his four years in black and orange. During his career he put up seasons of (fr.-sr.) 134, 354, 517, and 466 points. He averaged 16.0 points per game for his career, and 19.7 points per game in his three years as a starter. The most points he ever scored in a single game was 37 against David City as a senior. He scored 44 in preseason exhibition against Howells his senior year, which would have been a single-game school record had the game counted.
