The North Bend churches, United Presbyterian, St. Charles Catholic and St. Peter Lutheran, will be sponsoring a Christmas Blessings event on Dec. 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Bend Auditorium.

What is Christmas Blessings? Autumn Bourek started ALOTT of BLESSINGS a few years ago. The churches are expanding on the Blessings Food Pantry and have taken on this special seasonal store.

The community is asked to donate items and then anyone will be able to shop for free.

Items can be brought to the North Bend Auditorium on Friday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Examples of donated items are but not limited to: toys, clothing, kitchen items, jewelry, shoes, coats, winter boots, hats, gloves, holiday decorations, home decorations, dishes, pots and pans, Christmas Trees and decorations, homemade holiday cookies and candies.

Anything no longer used and that is in good condition will be perfect to donate.

The store will be open on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 5 p.m. Anyone and everyone is welcome to shop for free. No money will be exchanged. It is also not a requirement to donate to shop at this event. Anyone can donate and anyone can shop.

“We have seen the need for food and basic necessities through the pantry,” UPC pastor Michael Hill said. “The Christmas Blessing Store is another opportunity for us to help in other ways.”
