An opportunity to support local foundations will happen on Tuesday, May 9.

Organized and conducted by the Fremont Area Community Foundation, the Big Give is an opportunity for area residents to give to foundations that benefit those in the North Bend community.

The North Bend Area Community Foundation, North Bend Central Foundation and North Bend Library Foundation are all taking part in the Big Give.

When you donate through the Big Give, your donation helps the non-profits earn added money through a $40,000 bonus pool sponsored by the Fremont Beef Company, First State Bank and Trust and Pinnacle Bank. Each non-profit will receive a share of the pool proportional to the amount it raises during the day of giving, May 9. There are also hourly prizes that the non-profits can earn.

The Big Give will start at 12:01 a.m. May 9 and last until midnight. To donate a person would go to, click on “Find Your Non-profit” (tip: if you type in North Bend all the local foundations pop up) and follow instructions on how to donate via the website.

If you’d rather donate in person there will be a foundation community representative at the North Bend Public Library Community Room from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to take your donation.

A minimum of $10 can be donated. You can donate to one or all three organizations from North Bend or others that cover the whole of Dodge County and a few in Saunders County that serve the Fremont area.
