Morse Bluff American Legion Post 340 is seeking photos of past and present members. They would like the military service photos that will be put in a permanent display at the Morse Bluff Legion Hall.

AL seeking photosThe Legion is looking for service photos like this one of Glen Chvatal for a permanent display.

Organized in 1923 with World War I veterans, the group now has members from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and fighting going on in the Middle East. In all, the local American Legion has around 160 members, with that many or more deceased members. They would like to hear from all members and family members of the deceased former members.

The American Legion Auxiliary is working with the Legion on this project. If a service photo is not available, the Legion would like to get members’ full name, branch of service, years of military service and if they served overseas or in a conflict.

The information can be brought to the meetings the second Monday of the each month. Contact Eileen Chvatal (402-663-4386) or JoAnn Johnson (402-666-5685) for information or to arrange a pickup of a photo. The photo should be the original, any size, that will be copied and returned.
