Connie Vyhlidal shaved more than half a second off the school record when she ran a 11.7 second 100-yard dash in a triangular against Lyons and Scribner during the 1977 season. That time converts to a 12.6 second clocking in the 100 meters. Right behind her was teammate Lori Hines, who completed the fastest sprint race in NBC history with a time of 12.1 seconds (13.0 metric). Vyhlidal's record, set in the sixth year of NBC girls track and field, is the oldest existing school record. |
