May 11, 2023 at the District C-2 Meet in David City
Sophomore Alexa Brodd broke NBC's oldest school record and became the fastest Tiger of them all at the 2023 district track meet.
Forty-six years earlier, in the sixth year of NBC girls track and field program, Connie Vyhlidal shaved more than half a second off the school record when she ran a 11.7 second 100-yard dash in a triangular against Lyons and Scribner during the 1977 season. That time converts to a 12.6 second clocking in the 100 meters. Right behind her was teammate Lori Hines, who completed the fastest sprint race in NBC history with a time of 12.1 seconds (13.0 metric). |
